Inspired by one of my Favourite Jim Henson Movies "The Labyrinth". This is my version of a Fiery Goblin. Needle felted using my own Hand dyed Wool using Kool Aid, Merino, Bamboo and Angelina fiber.

An awesome, colorful and very imaginative Goblin, crafted from needle felted wool. This rather new deviant's gallery is full of fantastic finds!" (Suggested by =MyntKat and Featured by ^Thebuild)

I don't know much about soft sculpture (is that what you would call this?) but I think this is wonderful work. :)

Hi Sheeeva!

Thank You for the note. I love your gallery! It rocks! Yes, you could call this soft sculpture. A lot of wool and a single needle was used to create this Fiery. Oh, and some packs of kool aid!

Thanks again!

I only just saw the Labyrinth last year. I loved the entire environment--EVERYTHING had a face!--but especially the fire goblins. <3 Does his head pop off with velcro? Or is that too much...

God but this is beautiful--I've been admiring soft sculpture lately, and have been struggling with how to visualize it. What is your process if you don't mind my asking? Do you just picture it and sew it or is there some modeling involved? How you got the crevices on that nose I'll never know, but I'm in love with it.

Kool-Aid, now that's a new one--I've heard of people dying wigs with gutted sharpies, and others boiling dead birds for their bones, but I've never heard of Kool Aid being used on fabric. 8D Such a cute idea--adds to the quirkiness I'm sure.
